The most important strategic transport corridor in the Stansted Area is the M11. To the south, this provides access to London and a direct link to the M25, and to the north it provides easy access to Cambridge and then the A10, A14 and A1.
These routes are becoming increasingly congested with limited resilience, particularly along key sections of the motorway to the north of the airport. In addition, it is recognised that the A120 provides vital East-West access across the area.

- We will work with these parties to introduce capacity improvements as necessary, and in line with previous obligations agreed.
