The Stansted Area Transport Forum is a partnership of those interested in how journeys are made to and from London Stansted Airport by passengers, workers and other visitors.
The Forum is a private/public partnership, which brings together those who supply transport and infrastructure with those who use it, to ensure surface access is provided in a sustainable way.
The airport has seen significant growth under the ownership of Manchester Airport Group (MAG), yet has maintained its position as the leading United Kingdom airport for sustainable travel with over 50% of passengers travelling to and from the airport by public transport and attractive options for staff to discourage car commuting. The Forum continues to have a major impact in this success.
The Forum is a major partner in setting and delivering the Surface Access Strategy identifying objectives and measuring performance against targets.
Continuous development of bus, coach and rail services, and the use of those services, is a key measure of the success of the partnership. It is a dynamic and exciting environment in which to work, which results from the commitment of all those who are partners in the future of the Airport.
